If you hover over too many items there is an increased chance of crash because the game must load their model and textures, to help with this i suggest you do a quicksave before entering the shops just in case. While using the mod i was usually able to play about 2 hours without a crash, about the same for BSM. Pretty much the biggest chance of crashing is doing a lot of inventory shuffling and hovering over too many weapons and stuff.
R@S (creator of bsm) usually recommended to restart the game at the start and end of every battle, just to make sure memory is fresh, he used to do this with BSM but i recommend with mercapocalypse too.
The HLA version from what i played is more stable, but still not perfect, which is because the game is kind of always crash prone anyways.

In case anybody is thinking of trying enabling the exes and the dlls to be large address aware, don't. The game will not launch if you enable the Large Address Aware flag with an editor. Silver, do you think that could work? In theory, enabling that flag should enable the game to use more than 2GB of RAM which should help with the texture loading problems.

Honestly i have no idea. For HLA version ill make all the textures half of the current size as default. Then i'll provide a "higher resolution" pack, which is the current size of the textures for those who wish for more quality.

So I downloaded the mod and followed all the installation instructions to the letter but whenever I enter a town or even try to interact with any of the new weapons and items my game instantly crashes to desktop. I even reinstalled the entire game and tried it but it still crashes out. Also the newly added weapons and items dont actually show up, its just an empty square where it should be but when i hover the mouse it shows that there is something there without actually showing the item

Are you sure you downloaded both the main mod file and the update? Or just the update file?

Not sure if it is a bug or not. I downloaded the latest release and tryed adding a backpack and the new MP5-10,out of curiosity, to the Fakirov car inventory. Its not my first time edditting inventories, didnt expect issue but game crashed when I tried opening the car inventory ingame. Triple checked the spelling. Something else that broke the game was, when escorting Miguel back to Paco,at the end of the battle the conversation triggered properly but I did not get an End of Battle and the quest was bugged/couldnt be completed. Meaning Paco just said Hi(end of convo). Haven't played beyond that point but if the ppl working on it are still active will post future feedback gladly.

Since Mercapocalypse added so much stuff it is crucial that you save and restart the game every 2 hours tops. Otherwise there is a memory leak and the game becomes unstable with crashes and corrupted saves. You can try posting the error log here but i m not promising anything. Also, there are talks about making a lighter version of Mercapocalyspe so it doesnt crash so often, but i wouldnt hold my breath.

I have a problem with "Miners" mission for rebels. In Ciudad de Oro i made everything fine, i have "xxxx is commited sucide" but i'm hostile when get into jungle camp. But only Tanya and random fighters are hostile, rest of NPCs not. I can't pay 50k for "neutrality" to Calderon or Big Bobs neither. It might be related to slaves, i'm using Miguel and Iggy. Unfortunately i have no save before taking this mission so even when i go to natives without companion this problem occurs. I never had that issue earlier. After i start Mercapocalypse 2.0 i made test for this bug. It seems "friendly fire" option causing it. When it was turned on i shooted some guerilla in jungle camp - nobody was angry, but when i leaved and enterded to location again they turned hostile like then. Looks like Pedro Nunez is treated like this way. Then i set friendly fire to 0 and went to "commit his suicide". It works - after i got back to jungle camp Tanya and rest of buddies were still friendly
