I have been doing some thinking lately regarding something that has caught my mind in the recent months.
I would like to start out by saying that this is just a potential idea.
With the huge expansion of guns thanks to SilverGirl, and the small attachment of outfits from BSM, it gave me an idea. An outfit mod.
It came upon me that it could possibly be with done since the playable character's and the NPC's heads are just... heads. All the bodies are the same. I don't know how that goes into a technical point of view, but the only thing that counts by a character is the head.
Any ideas?

hmm well, i found an easy way to swap heads between NPCs, changing bodies are possible in some cases. however, some characters only seem to have one file (a merged body and head), this is usually for NPCs that don't use body armor or other outfits, like civilians, so i dont think its a good idea to switch merc bodies to these kinds of bodies or heads. the thing is that the model files of bodies are different from weapons (which are much simpler), and im not sure how to work with them. the exporting file i use for weapons and attachments dont seem to work for body models. another annoyance i found out is that helmets and body armor instead of being a model that is applied to the NPC, inside the head or body azp there seems to be a variant of the model with each helmet, so like adding another helmet requires you to export variants of each head in the game with the new helmet, crazy it is possible to do all of this though, because russian modders have done some improvements to bodies, i dont know how its done however. steamcommunity.com/app/289890/discussions/0/627457521147276368/there also seems to be a hardcoded limit for helmets, i think its about 8 or something which the HLA modders seem to have reached

Pip Boy 2000 Every body cant accept all meshes. Every head also. So in reality there are only 5 bodies that can accept the "body attachments" i.e. belts, vests, backpacks etc etc. These are Big black guy, black guy, white guy, black woman and white woman. There are 66 heads -iirc- that accept most (if not all) "head attachments" i.e. helmets, NVG. Its theoretically easy to add body attachment - just add the mesh in the 5 different bodies. Its a nightmare though to add anything on the heads. You have to edit all 66 heads. Or it wont show to the ones you havent added it. Stupid system, but it is what it is. And i m not even sure if i answered your question.
