Hello!
It had been a long time since I last played BSM. I'm not sure if I did everything right. I used to have 2.0 and I "updated" to 2.1 (installed new patch over my old install, given that there were no instructions on the matter, thought it would be ok, now I am not so sure). Now I'm playing my old saves and when I use the Kill book I get a message saying that the headphones have been toggled (turned on or off). No option gets another result and in fact some options, specially "Never mind" are repeated many times.
Would you say it has to do with a defective install? Is it a known bug? What should I do? If I install from scratch will I lose my saves?
Thank you in advance for any answers and for the great mod!
Edit: Just in case, it is not a Steam version, bought from Get Games Go some years ago.

2.1 needed a clean install IIRC. What patch are you talking about? 2.1 is an iso. Also, i would suggest trying Mercapocalypse (clean vanilla 7.62 install + bsm2.1 + mercapocalypse) in a couple of weeks when Silvergirl will finish cleaning v1.0.
If you want to continue your saves it would be better to play with bsm2.0 only. Otherwise there will be issues.

Thanks for the info, it was my guess that would happen but wanted to try my luck. No biggie. I meant the iso 2.1 not patch, yeah. Mercapolypse seems cool but I've never finished the game, not even once, so a reset would be sad to face (same thing always happens to me with JA 2 1.13, Silent Storm 2 and XCOM). I'll have a look at my options and then decide. Ty for the help!
