Don't get excited! This is just a repository/list of defensive or offensive systems ideas that can give new tactical choice to the soldier/squad leader and/or tactical depth to the game.
After suggestions i ll break down the list in 3 parts.
-Ideas that cant be included correctly or even at all in the game (Main reason is that the source code hasn't been made public. One can only hope though!)
-Ideas that may be possible to implement (will be marked with an asterisk *)
-Ideas that can be included but for whatever reason haven't - till now (marked with #)
-Ideas that can be included and are already included in HLA (marked with +)
Although this isnt a discussion thread, feel free to post any question/idea. I ll reply/include it and delete your post afterwards (giving you credit for it).
Also, search the this list first before asking something to be implemented. We may have already thought of it.
1. Speedloaders for revolvers and for shotguns - and clips for bolt action rifles as suggested by macrossmx -
2. Chemlights* (discussed here)
3. Micro/Small air/land drones (ones that can be carried by a man and be deployed in meaningful time) i.e. Battlehawk aka T-RAM , PD-100 Black Hornet , COTS-M
4. Dual feed weapons as ARES * or Baikal MP-131 or Kel-Tec KSG or UTAS UTS-15 or Neostead
5. 500 rounds backpack
6. Exoskeletons (have been discussed here and here )
7. PGFs like TrackingPoint or One Shot XG(now CWO) * or other interim systems like Eliminator * or even for 40mm GL like FN FCU
8. Guided munitions like EXACTO
9. HEAVY Weapons like XM556 Microgun or the .22LR version or ANZIO 20mm
10. Flamethrowers
11. Duckbills (have been discussed here)
12. M202 Flash #
13. Crossbows * (have been discussed here)
14. New interim healing system* (proposed here by DOC Lidocaine)

48. Different weather conditions. i.e. Heavy rain would impair movement (mud) and/or visibility, accuracy etc
49. Swimming and other means of moving over bodies of water
50. New helmets with working attachments on them like OPS-CORE as suggested by diegans here
51. A way to hide the loot in random maps so you can access them later - aka stash +
52. Flares and Flare guns.
53. Different kind of gases (CS, Mustard etc) and the appropriate countermeasures (masks)
54. Reloading time specific for each firearm and magazine.
55. An expanded (with GUI) Roster system. i.e. leaving mercs at base for some R&R and taking fresh or others better fit for the coming mission
56. An expanded supressing fire system similar to the one in BE5
57. Silenced and flashless grenade launcher like BS-1 "Tishina" & GSN-19 "Kanarejka" , Device "D" and Device "DM"
58. Knowing the position of an enemy based on what the character sees and not magically know the enemy is there because his teammates see him. Info of enemies sightings may be passed to the character if they are equiped with intercom and even then the character may know only the general area of the sighting, not with pinpoint accuracy.
59. New technologies in stoping bleeding, like Landolina's gel and Xstat
60. Weapons with programmable airburst ammunition like XM25
