There are now 15 new death sounds for males.
Random quests reputation checker was removed. It made random quests too hard to be started, now you have more fresh quests to enjoy in the game.
Honey Badger should no longer hurt user or have problems shooting.
Double STANAG magazine will now sit correctly on weapon.
MPX40 will now properly accept the magazine.
.410 Safir, Saigas and AK-12/76s are now full auto.
Minor changes to vendors.
Encore and Contender kits are now much lighter.

- Make sure you have the newest Blue Sun Mod 2.1 installed in your game folder, THIS MOD ABSOLUTELY REQUIRES IT! (GUIDE TO INSTALL BSM FOR STEAM VERSION)
- Go to the main folder of your game and make sure you delete the following folders if they exist: (you can skip this step if you are doing a clean install of the game)
- Go to ACTORS and delete the ITEMS folder, DO NOT DELETE THE MONSTERS FOLDER!
- Delete BMP folder
- Delete MEDIA folder, DO NOT DELETE MEDIA.PACK FOLDER!
- Delete SHOPINI folder
- Delete INVENTORYINI folder
- Go to INI and delete the ITEMS folder, DO NOT DELETE BLUESUNMOD.INI OR VFS.INI!
- Extract the main file to the main folder of the game and overwrite when asked.
- Extract the latest update file to the main folder of the game and overwrite when asked. It's not necessary to download all updates, just download the latest update.
- START A >>> NEW <<< GAME.
- To make sure it worked, you should get a new splash screen with the new Mercapocalypse image saying at the bottom right Mercapocalypse 1.4 when you open the game.

Silver and DFN joined and merged their mods to present you with something to make your favorite gun porn game with crazy mercenaries become even better!
New weapons: This mod adds over 350 weapons into the game, from little derringers to huge anti-tank rifles. The weapons are also used by enemies and sold by various merchants in the game. The main idea of the mod is to give players more choice in weapons and add a little something for everyone, regardless of playstyle. Here are some comparison of all the weapons: 7.62 High Calibre weapons | Blue Sun Mod weapons | Mercapocalypse weapons
New ammunition: Silver Armory V2 added a lot of new weapons for existing ammunition, but this time we wanted to bring more new things and we couldn't do so in the existing calibers. Now there are 37 new calibers for you to use!
Sniper ballistic computer: Many new and existing sniper rifles were integrated with BSM's Cheytac Ballistic Computer. Set up with your spotter while you enjoy the increased list from 7 sniper rifles to 108 that are now compatible with this system.
Revamped mechanic: BSM's mechanic now can provide you with many more weapon conversions, especially for assault rifles.
Detailed descriptions: Following the trend of the Armory V2 mod, many weapons have very detailed descriptions, especially those important to firearms history. You're guaranteed to learn many new things!
Weapon stats: With a lot of work, all weapons had their stats carefully changed to give them strengths and weaknesses if possible, while trying to maintain a good level progression of weapons through the game.
New mercenaries: A lot of new buddies for you to get to know and shoot people with, all with their familiar voices that you might remember from other games.
Reworked salaries and skills: Salaries and skills of new and existing mercenaries have been revamped by DFN, making it more difficult to hire expensive mercenaries early on, while providing many choices for more affordable fighters.
Militia fixes: After a long time, latest BSM's militia issues were finally fixed by Bel Thorne, now you can relive those moments were you captured the entire country.

Known Issues

Important! Shops may take some time to load and can cause crashes during the "rendering items" processing. If you are having crashes with the shops with or without Mercapocalypse its a normal thing for this game, the game has a memory leak issue that builds up the longer you play the game. If the weapon never showed up before on shops, the game will have to load it to create an inventory image (this is what the rendering items is when a lot of new weapons are being loaded), spending some memory, after that it will always use the inventory icon when it shows up on shops again, so it won't need to load the weapon, this way you will be fine when the gun icons are all loaded.
However if you mouse over a weapon, the game will have to load its model and texture at the bottom left corner preview, which makes it spend more memory and if you hover over too many weapons, the game will spend a lot of memory and crash. I recommend opening the cheat shop (press tilde to open console then type enter_dev_mode and confirm, then type shop) to load all weapon icons completely (may take a few crashes) to prevent crashes when you play the game normally. And always quicksave before entering shops and shuffling your team equipment. After all shop icons are loaded, players reported great stability with the mod.
Some boxes and magazines may be lacking description or have wrong capacity on them, these will be corrected in patches.

Updates will be released periodically, they don't require a new game, if they do it will be told so. Updates will always have the previous updates with it, so all you need to do is just get the latest one. They will be posted on the main thread when available, along with their changes.

Uninstallation

1. Delete MercapocalypseV1.azp and the patch azp.
2. Go to yourgamefolder/INI/ and open vfs.ini, remove the line that contains Mercapocalypse and the Patch.
3. Uninstalling will require you to start a new game.

Q: Is this mod compatible with Blue Sun Mod?
A: Not only is it compatible, it REQUIRES BSM.

Q: I was beta testing Mercapocalypse, can i install this version without issues?
A: Yes, just make sure you follow the install instructions and delete those folders if they exist.

Q: Does this work for Steam version of the game?
A: Please note that if you verify integrity with Steam, it may mess up the mod files. If you must verify integrity due to corruption, reinstall the mod.

Q: Do i need the previous Armory V2 Mod or DFN 200 Mercs Mod before installing this one?
A: No, this one includes everything available from both previous mods.

Q: Is this mod for hardcore players only and/or does it make the game super ultra hard?
A: Changing the difficulty was never the intention of the mod. The mod is about having choice of more weapons, improved stat balance and more detailed enemy inventories and mercenaries to hire. While the difficulty may have changed, that was not the focus of the mod. Some players may find the game easier due to more weapons to fit their playstyle, while others may find the improved arsenal of their enemies more challenging. Overall, it should not change the actual difficulty of fights much compared to BSM.
